Lenses.-In a photographic objective comprising a concavo-convex lens L1 of high refractive index next the diaphragm and separated by an air space from a double-concave lens L<2> of low refraction, cemented to a double-convex element L3 of high refraction, the radius of the cemented surface r4 is at least equal to the equivalent focus of a symmetrical doublet comprising two such single objectives. The single objeotive can be combined, however, with any other suitable objective to form a doublet.
