1358502 Yarn balloon guide H KANAI 25 Aug 1972 [2 Sept 1971 7 Oct 1971 16 May 1972] 39690/72 Heading DID A balloon control ring is provided with generally parallel slanting ribs on its inner surface so that a yarn rotating around the ring engages each rib as or before it leaves the preceding rib. The ring can be made of stranded metal or plastics wire, or formed with a stranded wire-like inner shaped surface, raised straight ribs, ribs formed of rows of hemispheres, or ribs formed of corrugations.
