Abstract

1358383 Stud-and-socket fastenings DEWHURST & PARTNER Ltd 18 April 1972 [26 April 1971] 11262/71 Heading E2B [Also in Divisions F4 and H1] Electrical apparatus for mounting in an aperture in a panel 1 comprises a first member 42 and a second member 44 adapted for bayonet-type coupling together through said aperture, the first member 42 having a flange for location relative to said panel, and resilient means 4 are provided to bias said second member 44 away from the panel 1 so as to hold the bayonet coupling in its coupled condition and to urge the flange of member 42 towards the panel 1 so as to support the assembly on the panel. The member 44 may carry an indicator lamp (see Division F4) and member 42 may carry a lens 41 therefor, oralternatively, a push-button switch or rotary switch may be provided (see Division H1). The details of the bayonet coupling are not visible but comprise lugs (19, Figs. 1 and 5, not shown) on the second member engageable with hook-shaped lands (17, Figs. 3 and 6, not shown) on the first member.
