1358183 Pesticidal application of oxadiazole and thiadiazole derivatives AGRIPAT SA 1 July 1971 [2 July 1970] 30931/71 Heading A5E [Also in Division C2] Compounds of formula I where R 1 is alkyl, alkoxy or phenyl, R 2 is alkyl, R 3 is alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkylthioalkyl or phenyl, R 4 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkoxyalkyl, alkylthioalkyl or phenyl and X, Y and Z are oxygen or sulphur, the aforesaid alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkyl, alkylthio, alkoxyalkyl and alkylthioalkyl groups each containing up to 6 carbon atoms, provided that when Y is oxygen, Z is sulphur, R 1 is C 1-4 alkyl or alkoxy or phenyl, R 2 is C 1-4 alkyl and R 4 is hydrogen or C 1-4 alkyl or alkoxy then R 3 is other than methyl, are used as the active ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions, optionally together with other pesticides, such as 4, 4'-dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane.
