Abstract

1357997 Mooring ships ENTREPRISE DE RECHERCHES ET D'ACTIVITES PETROLIERES 14 April 1972 [16 April 1971] 17288/72 Heading B7S [Also in Division F2] A mooring system comprises a vertical mooring column, 2 and a pair of arms 3, 4 each respectively attached by an articulated joint 7, 8 to a horizontal ring 11 positioned around and rotatable relative to the column. A pair of buoyant berthing caissons 5, 6 are respectively attached by a second articulated joint 31 to the other end of each arm. Flexible couplings 50, 51, 52, 53 join the two arms or the two caissons. The two arms are attached to diametrically opposite points of the ring and the flexible couplings are preferably buoyant.
