Abstract

1356985 Apparatus for treating textiles M T CLERMONT VINAS 24 June 1971 [24 June 1970] 29726/71 Heading D1L In the treatment of textile materials by passing treatment liquid through them in an autoclave 1 a reciprocating pump is used, this comprising a piston 11 in a cylinder 10 in the embodiment shown, which, when moved in one direction passes liquid through bobbin 18 of material from the inside to the outside, and when moved in the opposite direction passes liquid through from the outside to the inside, separate temperature control means (heat exchangers 22 and 23) controlling the liquid temperature on each side of the piston, which is operated by a hydraulic motor consisting of a cylinder 12 and piston 13. Alternative embodiments replace the piston by a flexible membrane, or have a radial rotary pump, the pump unit in each case being optionally in a container separate from the autoclave 1. The treatment liquid may be dye.
