1356354 Clock dials SIMPLEX TIME RECORDER CO 24 March 1972 [17 April 1971] 13934/72 Heading G3T [Also in Division G1] In order to allow a dial of a clock or other instrument to be mounted in a number of ways, with or without a casing, the dial 11 has a rim 16 and at least one support member 17 extending inwardly from the rim and parallel to the dial. As shown the member 17 is L-shaped and is attached to the rim 16 by soldering or welding, so that the longer arm 18 of the member, which has an aperture, may be hung on a wall hook 21 to suspend the clock. For hanging on a wall which has no recess 19, a tubular spacer 23 may be provided, having a suspension lug 27 and an aperture 24 into which the arm 18 is inserted, the two parts 11, 23 being held together by resilient latching portions (32, 33) Fig. 9 (not shown) at the bottom of the assembly. A pair of dials with associated clock mechanisms may be mounted at the two ends of a single tubular spacer (28), Fig. 4 (not shown) which may be suspended from a wall or ceiling. A dial may also be mounted by the rim 16 being push-fitted within a casing ring (37), Fig. 5 (not shown) having at one end a glass (39) retained by a ring flange (38). The other end of the ring (37) has a hook for hanging on a wall. Alternatively an arrangement using two dials and mechanisms push-fitted back to back within a two-part casing Fig. 6 (not shown) may be used for wall or ceiling mounting.
