Abstract

1355654 Orientating caps ALBRO FILLERS & ENG CO Ltd 28 June 1971 [19 Aug 1970] 39968/70 Heading B8S Container caps or other articles 1 are centrifuged on rotating platform 2 towards baffle wall 4, escape through an aperture 5 into trough 7 formed between platform 2 and outer wall 3 and travel to an exit gate formed by wall 10 and shoot 10a, the trough being formed to allow caps having a predetermined orientation to pass through to the exit gate while caps not having the predetermined orientation are ejected by, e.g. air jets 9 before reaching the exit gate.
