Abstract
1355505 Substituted tetrahydropyrimidines POLAROID CORP 27 July 1971 [3 Aug 1970] 35259/71 Heading C2C [Also in Division G2] Novel substituted tetrahydropyrimidines having the general formula wherein R 1 and R 2 are hydrogen atoms or alkyl groups and X is a group of the formula wherein R is an optionally substituted aryl or alkyl radical, are prepared by reacting a 4-alkyl- 3,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrimidine-2-thiol with a compound of the formula in the presence of triethylamine at room temperature. The novel compounds may be used as hydrolysable development restrainers in photography.
