Abstract
1355125 Fluid-pressure actuated switches BUDENBERG GAUGE CO Ltd 9 Nov 1972 [10 Nov 1971] 52235/71 Heading H1N A microswitch 4, Fig. 1, is actuated by a Bourdon tube 2 at both a preset maximum and a minimum pressure. The end of the tube 2 carries a rod 1 having adjustable screws 7, 8 at opposite ends engageable with a double-armed rocking lever 3 on a pivot 5 of the microswitch 4. On reduction of pressure the screw 7 depresses one end of the lever 3 to actuate the microswitch button 6. On increase of pressure the head 8a of the screw 8 engages under the other end of the lever 3 to depress the button 6. In a modification the switch may be yieldably mounted, whereby on reduction of pressure the end of the tube 2 depressed a yieldable stop (12), Fig. 2 (not shown), to actuate the button (15). On increase of pressure a hooked member (16) engages the switch body (11) to move the switch and button (15) towards the stop (12) and thereby actuate the switch.
