Abstract

1354521 Building constructions; domes ZOMEWORKS CORP 4 May 1971 [4 May 1970] 13056/71 Headings E1A and E1W A three-dimensional building construction for example in the shape of a hexadron, enneacontahedron or a triacontrahedron 44, Fig. 4, comprises a plurality of interconnected elements forming a continuous surface of mutually adjacent faces, each face being in the shape of a "primary", "secondary" or "tertiary" diamond having acute and obtuse angles of 63‹ 26' 06" and 116‹ 33' 54" / 70‹ 38'44" and 109‹ 28' 16" / 41‹ 48' 38" and 138‹ 11'22" respectively. For mathematical desiderata giving rise to the constructions to-gether with cell structures built up therefrom to form arches and composite buildings the Specification and remaining drawings, (not shown), should be referred to. Each face may be constructed from a planar sheet or consist of a series of linear structural elements which each define a lateral edge thereof.
