Abstract

1354484 Cable trays A E WOODS 10 Aug 1971 [14 May 1970] 23386/70 Addition to 1304516 Heading H2C A cable tray or support for direct wall fixing as in Specification 1,304,516 is formed in two halves so as to provide a tray having adjustable width (Fig. 1). The tray is secured through the flanges 1, and self-tap or threaded holes 6 allow mounting of cables to be performed using clips, screws or bolts only. Trays can be bolted back to back to form a box girder construction. A second embodiment (Figs. 4-7) (not shown) discloses trays to which further units may be later added to extend the width of the arrangement, by providing the first tray with a ledge formation to support the edge of the extension tray.
