Abstract

1354318 Pick up arm K BRAUN 19 April 1971 [6 Feb 1970] 21319/71 Heading G5R Pick up arm 7 is pivotally mounted on a suspended magnetic element 2 and guided by magnetic guide element 1 such that its stylus 9 follows a radial path on record 12. By means of the repulsion field the magnetic element 2 is maintained in suspension out of contact with polepieces 4, 4<SP>1</SP> of the guide member, and the assembly offers no frictional resistance to the radial movement of the pick up stylus. The guide element 1 can be pivoted about spindle 15 in support pillar 16 for record changing purposes and the pick up arm is counter-balanced by the weight 10.
