Abstract
1354392 Electronic timepieces; calendars SUWA SEIKOSHA K K 15 Oct 1971 [27 Oct 1970] 48085/71 Heading G3T A timepiece having a wholly electronic oscillator, which controls an electro-optical display via frequency dividing circuitry, is also provided with a plurality of electro-optical display means each for displaying one of a set of information items, e.g. the days of the week, and with means for selectively controlling these display means to display the information items in succession. Fig. 2 shows a time display combined with seven day display units r. The peripheral ring of the selected unit is energized and may be of the lightemitting diode or liquid crystal type. The ring may be continuous or interrupted. In an alternative embodiment, the information items are on liquid crystal units (s), Figs. 4, 5, (not shown), all the units except the desired one being energized to render the items invisible.
