Abstract

1353996 Leno shedding motions MACHINEFABRIEK L TE STRAKE NV 18 June 1971 [19 June 1970] 28793/71 Heading DIE A jet loom has a full cross leno shedding motion wherein leno threads 27, 28 are repeatedly twisted in one direction by heald eyes 25, 26 on an endless chain 24, both threads being pulled off a bobbin 7 on a rotating platform 6 driven in synchronism with the chain 24, and has the provision of a slotted guide 13 which rotates with the platform 6 and is so disposed that the tension of the leno threads 27, 28 is substantially constant during their shedding by the eyes 25, 26. The bobbin 7 is braked (Figure 3) by spring loaded pins 39, 40 acting on a flange 7a of the bobbin, a roller 37 being provided which is pulled onto the threads by a spring.
