Abstract

1352717 Picture frames; hanging articles on walls S A HEMGREN 27 July 1971 [10 Aug 1970 26 Nov 1970 (3)] 35163/71 Headings A4U and A4X [Also in Division G5] Cards 7 carrying letters, numbers, or signs are assembled in sequence on a board (1), Fig. 1, (not shown), and clamping elements 8 are applied to their longitudinal edges, the elements 8 forming a frame for the cards so that they may be displayed in a vertical position. The frame may be composed only of horizontal elements 8 but where vertical elements 8 are added, as at 8c and 8d, Fig. 5, the junctions between the elements are mitred and locking members fitted. The frame may be hung up by hooked discs 29 which may also be inter-engaged, Fig. 6, (not shown), to join adjacent signs. Alternatively a disc 29 may be joined to a member (35), Fig. 7, (not shown), apertured to enable the sign to be attached to a wall. Connecting members (38), Fig. 8, (not shown), may be used to join the ends of rods 8 carrying signs placed back to back, or, Fig. 11, (not shown), to join the sign frame to a bracket. The bracket may be formed with a slot (49), Fig. 13, (not shown), to receive the bar (38) and have bores (46) for screwing to a support surface.
