Abstract

1352350 Extraction of sugar RAFFINERIE TIRLEMONTOISE 21 June 1971 [3 July 1970] 29012/71 Heading B1Q A rotating helical drum conveyor for extracting products from solids with liquids has an element extending between successive windings for raising the solids and the separation thereof from the successive fractions of liquid and has means position downstream of the element in the path of the separated liquid fraction which slows down and spreads the fraction radially and longitudinally prior to its mixing with the successive solids fraction. This may take the form of a perforated baffle.
