Abstract

1351562 Reforming naphtha COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE DE RAFFINAGE 24 March 1972 [24 March 1971] 14096/72 Addition to 1278001 Heading C5E [Also in Division B1] Hydrocarbons are hydroreformed in the presence of a supported Pt-Ir-Sn catalyst in which the support is a porous, refractory inorganic oxide having acidic sites, a surface area greater than 15 m.<SP>2</SP>/g. and a pore volume greater than 0À1 cm.<SP>3</SP>/g. Examples describe the reforming of n-heptane in the presence of either sulphided or unsulphided alumina supported catalysts at 510-520‹ C. in either the liquid or the gas phase.
