Abstract

1350881 Microtomes NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP 19 April 1971 [7 April 1970] 16410/70 Heading G2J A microtome knife mount comprises a base 2 with a cooling trough 5, heater 6, thermostat 7, and flanges 3, 4 located in the plane of symmetry and, mounted between the flanges 3, 4 a knife holder 9 with a knife 11. The knife 11 is secured in the holder 9 by screws 14, 12 the holder 9 being held in the base 3 by a screw 15 bearing on the screw 12. The microtome head has a specimen holding chuck 17, a coolant trough 21 in communication with the chuck 17 and a thermostat 22.
