Abstract

1349425 Bobbin holder ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 2 May 1972 [4 June 1971] 20259/72 Heading D1J A winding bobbin holder comprises arms 3 pivoted about pivot 6 by compression spring 8, acting on arm 7 rigid with arms 3, to press arm-mounted bobbin 4 against drive roller 3. During package winding arms 3 are pivoted upwards as the package enlarges, spring 8 is compressed, and the housing 10, 11 telescopes and pivots about pivot 10'. The turning movement imparted to arms 3 by the spring, and hence the pressure between the package and roller 5, is maintained substantially constant because as the spring force increases with spring compression, the movement arm between the forces line of action and pivot 6 is reduced. When the package is fully wound the line of action passes through pivot 6. Further winding pivots the spring and allows the spring to expand to lift the package from roller 5.
