Abstract

1348760 Depilatory wax J DUPUY 13 Dec 1972 57431/72 Heading A5B A depilatory wax composition having a m.p. of 72‹C and a viscosity at 50-60‹C suitable for application to the skin comprises (a) at least 2 parts by weight of a component having a m.p. of 85‹C. and consisting by weight of 75-80% colophane and 20-25% paraffin wax, (b) at least 0.9 parts by weight of a component having a m.p. of 77‹C and consisting by weight of 70-75% colophane and 25-30% paraffin wax, (c) 1 part by weight of. a component having a m.p. of 80‹C and comprising by weight 67% colophane, at least 17% spermaceti fat and less than 17% of paraffin and (d) an oil. The oil may be groundnut oil, sunflower oil or paraffin oil. The composition may also include alumina and colouring.
