Abstract

1348690 Break spinning SKF KUGELLA GERFABRIKEN GmbH 17 June 1971 [18 June 1970] 28537/71 Heading DID A break spinning machine comprises a rotor 18 and a separating roller 30 mounted in a housing with the axis of the separating roller being parallel, or up to 40‹, to the axis of the rotor with at least a portion of the separating roller extending beyond the open end of the rotor 18. As shown, the separating roller 30 lies wholly beyond the rotor 18. A removable cover for the rotor and the separating roller may also contain a fibre feed duct 40 for the rotor. The housing for the rotor 18 and the separating roller is pivotable so as to apply brakes to the rotor and roller. The rotor and roller may be driven from a common drive belt 78, 80.
