Abstract

1347959 Mechanical garage K KLAUS 1 Aug 1972 [7 Aug 1971] 35769/72 Heading B8E A garage accommodated in a cavity 16 comprises load platforms 5, 6, 15 connected by movable guide members 4 and a cross member 7 to form a rigid structure raisable by a piston cylinder device 12 and guided by fixed guides 1 which extend to or just above a drive-on 3. The actuating mechanism may be adjacent or within the guide members which are telescopic so that with the vehicles on the platforms they may be lowered into the cavity 16 so as to leave little or no projection. A roof may be provided over the top platform 6 to move with it and to act as an anti-theft device or the platforms may be left unaligned with the drive-on 3. Rollers may be provided on the interengaging guides which may be placed centrally of the platforms with the movable guides surrounding the fixed guides and square, circular or cruciform in crosssection.
