Abstract
1347885 Grills ANGLO SWISS (EQUIPMENT PRODUCTION) Ltd 25 April 1972 [9 Aug 1971] 37306/71 Heading A4D A grill comprises a frame 51 having open sides, a top cover slidably mounted in the frame and having electrical heating elements 63, and a base 53 for supporting food to be cooked also provided with heating elements 54; the top cover being slidable between a first limit position in which it is adjacent to the base and a second limit position in which it is spaced from the base 53 by substantially the height of the frame, there being a counter weight 82 connected to the top cover to hold it at any desired position between the limit positions. The top cover comprises a frame 62 containing a reflector plate 66 which frame is attached to L-shaped arms of a backplate 72 which is held slidably against a vertical slide-bar 75 by a yoke 78. The arms extend through slots (not shown) in the ends of the frame. The counter weight 82 moves on vertical rods 80 and has springs 91 and 92 to prevent it striking the frame 51. A tray may be placed on the plate 53, the tray having a grid for supporting the food and a detachable container adapted to receive fat or oil from the food, the base of the container converging to a point at which an oil release valve is fitted.
