Abstract
1347314 Percussion fuzes FRANCE ARMED FORCES MINISTER OF 22 April 1971 [22 April 1970] 10887/71 Heading F3A A fuze percussion device for use in a missile comprises a tubular element 8 which slides in a housing 4, a second tubular element 2 which slides in the element 8, a third percussion element 3 which slides in element 2, and disengageable locking means so arranged that in use firstly the elements 8, 2 and 3 move together in one direction in housing 4, then only elements 2 and 3 move together in the reverse direction, and finally the element 3 moves by itself in the first direction to a position where percussion is effected on impact of the missile. The disengageable locking means comprises balls 7, 9, recesses 6, 12 and narrowed portion 13. Spring 1 moves the elements 2 and 3 in the reverse direction. The fuze may be held in unarmed position in the missile by withdrawable pins 5.
