Abstract

1345317 Cylinder mountings MILLER FLUID POWER CORP 26 June 1972 [3 Aug 1971] 29751/72 Heading F2T A mounting member 10 for a piston and cylinder device 12 comprises a first portion 32 with apertures 38 positioned to be aligned with tie rods 22 for securing it in facial abutment with a cylinder end cap 18, and a pair of spaced-apart second portions 34, 36 for embracing the end cap, a bore 42 being provided in each second portion for a fastener. The mounting member 10 may be made of steel and provided with converging faces 34d which embrace the end cap 18 when the member is tightened over the ends of tie rods 22 by the nuts 41. The mounting member serves to hold the end cap against a supporting surface when fasteners are applied through the bores 42.
