Abstract

1344932 Yielding joints between frame parts CHRYSLER FRANCE 26 May 1971 [29 July 1970] 17212/71 Heading B7D A cross-member 12 of a vehicle chassis is inserted at both ends in damping members 24 of cup like elements 19 which are secured, such as by welding, to the chassis side members 10. The elements 19 and complementary damping members 24, such as rubber blocks, have an open side facing the vehicle rear to enable insertion by sliding of the cross-member 12. A wheel 13 is secured to an oscillating arm 14 locked on a torsion bar 15 whose other end 16 is solid with a lever 17 which transmits the suspension forces to the cross-member 12 through the medium of a bolt 18.
