Pivot adjustments. - In wind - screen pivot adjustments of the type comprising a conical plug a<2> held in engagement with a conical socket d by a screw device e, g, a surface of leather, fibre, or like material is applied as a contact surface c between the plug and the socket. The surface c may be attached by screw pins c<2> or otherwise as a covering to the plug, or may form a lining to the socket, or may be applied to both parts, or may be loose between the parts, in which case the material may be mounted upon a hard metal or other core.
