Abstract

1344162 Ingot moulds FOSECO INTERNATIONAL Ltd 24 Nov 1971 [1 Jan 1971] 160/71 Heading B3F [Also in Divisions C3 and F2] A hot tap liner for an ingot mould is in the form of a loop which may be folded from a flat two layer configuration to an open polygonal configuration. The liner may be a flexible sleeve of refractory heat-insulating material (see Division C3) bound by a closed loop strap or comprise refractory heat-insulating or exothermic tiles 1 bound by endless bands of flexible material 3, e.g. plastics strip or textile strip. The tiles 1 have chamfered ends 4 and scored depressions 2 to facilitate folding.
