Abstract
1344044 Dentifrice compositions COLGATEPALMOLIVE CO 16 March 1972 [22 March 1971] 12406/72 Heading A5B A dentifrice comprises (a) 0.01-5 weight % of 1,6-di (p-chlorophenylbiguanido) hexane or an equivalent weight of a salt thereof, (b) 0.01-5% of flavouring oil, (c) 0.015-2% of phosphate ion and (d) 2.5-10% ethanol. The di (chlorophenylbiguanido) hexane salt may be the digluconate. The flavouring oil may be peppermint oil. The composition may also include a gelling agent, a water-insoluble polishing agent, a humectant, and/or water. The polishing agent may be dicaloium phosphate dihydrate and/or calcium carbonate. The humectant may be glycerol. The composition may also include sodium N-lauroyl sarcosinate, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and/or sodium saccharine.
