1343429 Work-tables WINDLEY BROS Ltd and M MARSHALL 20 May 1971 [22 May 1970] 24925/70 Heading B3B A machine-tool work-table 5 is mounted on a slider 4 which is movable along a guideway, here shown as a slot 3, formed on a base-plate 1, an oil or air bearing being provided between the table and base-plate. Clamps 10, 11 allow the table to be secured against rotation relative to the slides, and expansible clamps (not shown) enable the slider to be secured against movement relative to the base-plate. An electric motor may be provided for rotating the table. Powered movement of the slider, also, is possible. A bearing is also provided between the slider and base-plate.
