Abstract

1341817 Carpets; heel pieces for car carpets ETABS DAUPHANT SA 22 March 1972 [22 March 1971] 13282/72 Heading A4S A non-skid device for a moulded floor covering having upwardly directed projections 2, such as a heel piece for car carpets, comprises a detachable member 3 having rows of orifices 4 through which the projections 2 pass, and rows of upwardly directed nipples 5 alternating with the rows of orifices, the frictional resistance of the part of the floor covering on which the device is mounted being increased due to the reduction in the free length of the projections and the additional projections provided by the nipples. The projections and nipples are of circular or polygonal cross-section and the orifices are of the same outline and fit over the projections, the free ends of the projections being level with the free ends of the nipples. The member 3 may be in the form of a narrow strip or shaped as a letter and mounted on the floor covering to form a design or advertisement.
