Abstract
1341266 Sliding clasp fasteners WILLIAM PRYM-WERKE KG 30 April 1971 [12 May 1970] 12557/71 Headings D1E and D1K [Also in Division E2] On a loom for weaving stringer tapes for sliding clasp fasteners, the fastener elements 14 are formed from a plastics material yarn 15 which is guided through a heald as a warp thread and passed around the end 31 of a mandrel 16 through apertures 39 and 40 respectively in a bush 32, and a bearing disc 37 which is rotatably supported in bush 32 and attached to the mandrel end 31. The yarn 15 is fed in steps by a pair of rollers (28) Fig. 1 (not shown) and may be deformed in cross section by shaping rolls near rollers (28). Two stringer tapes may be woven on the loom side-by-side with the fastener forming loops being formed around a common mandrel.
