Abstract
1341190 Pressure indicating devices K H STRAWSON 28 April 1971 [29 Jan 1970 4311/70 Heading F1D A device 12 for indicating that a predetermined pressure has been exceeded in a conduit 10 of a fluid pressure apparatus comprises an evacuated glass ball 20 retained in a gauze body 22 located in the conduit 10 so as not to impede fluid flow therethrough. When the predetermined pressure is exceeded the glass ball 20 implodes, the fragments being retained in the gauze body 22. Other configurations of collapsible members may be employed instead of the glass ball 20 Figs. 2, 3, and 4 (not shown).
