Abstract
1340611 Unsaturated ketones LEUNAWERKE WALTER ULBRICHT VEB 29 Jan 1971 3489/71 Heading C2C α,#-Unsaturated ketones of the formula wherein R 1 , R 2 and R 3 , which may be the same or different, are hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or heterocyclic and R 4 is optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, aryl or heterocyclic; or two or more of the groups from one or more closed rings; α,#,α<SP>1</SP>,#<SP>1</SP>-unsaturated ketones of the formula where the groups R 5 to R 10 , which may be the same or different, are hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, aryl or heterocyclic, or two or more of the groups form one or more closed rings; are prepared by, in the case of Formula I, reacting a ketone of the formula with a compound of a platinum group metal in a bivalent or higher valency state at from - 15‹ to 180‹ C. and in the case of compound III, reacting either a ketone of the formula or a ketone of formula in the same manner as compound II above.
