Abstract

1340320 Pressurized dispensing containers RISDON MFG CO 28 April 1972 [15 Feb 1972] 19873/72 Heading F1R A valve actuator button cap assembly for a dispensing container includes complementary keying elements formed on the button and a collar adapted to be mounted on the valved end of a container, which elements when aligned by relative rotation of the button and collar permit actuation of the valve, otherwise the elements prevent valve actuation, means being provided to indicate visually when the elements are in alignment. As shown in Fig. 2 button 32 is rotatable with overcap 30 to bring axial element 68 into alignment with notch element 66 in a collar 60 secured to the container; mark 70 may be viewed through window 72 when the elements are aligned. In the embodiment of Fig. 6 the collar 160 is rotatably mounted on the pedestal 162 and has an arm 163 having a mark 170 viewable through window 172 when a plug 173 is removed and the cap 130 is rotated to align the elements. With the plug in position it engages the arm 163 whereby the cap rotates the collar with the elements out of alignment. In a third embodiment Fig.10 (not shown) the collar has a lever which projects through a stepped aperture in the overcap, alignment being effected by lifting the lever from one step to the other.
