Abstract
1340379 Clutch control BARKAS-WERKE IFA - KOMBINAT FUR KRAFTFAHRZEUGTEILE RENAK - WERKE VEB 2 Aug 1971 36161/71 Heading F2L A clutch release thrust bearing 15 comprises an elastomeric ring 8 secured to the rotating bearing race 1 and engaging the inner ends of diaphragm spring tongues 3. The elastomeric ring 8 prevents wear on the inner ends of the diaphragm spring tongues 3. The ring 8 is carried by a disc 4 secured to the outer race 1 by a cover 5. In Fig. 2 (not shown) an elastomeric ring (11) is secured to the inner race (9) of the thrust bearing by a sleeve (10). The elastomeric ring may be made of rubber or synthetic plastics material. The elastomeric ring may alternatively be secured directly to the inner or outer bearing race.
