Abstract

1340011 Chairs GROSFILLEX SARL 19 April 1971 [11 Feb 1970] 20841/71 Headings A4H and A4J A chair comprises a base frame 1 and a combined seat and back member 2 detachably secured thereto, the member 2 being formed from a flat plastics layer (4) Fig. 2 (not shown) consisting of panels 6 radiating from an offset central area (5) and separated laterally by slots 7, the layer (4) being curved into hemispherical form and mounted on the base frame 1 by clips 9 on the underside of the panels 6 resiliently engaging over a circular support number 3 of the frame 1. The panels 6 have ribs 12 to conceal the clips 9. Frame 1 may be rigid and formed from steel tubes or rods, or it may be foldable into flat form. The central area (5) of the layer (4) may be perforated. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 914905.
