Abstract
1,239,965. Cosmetic preparations. J. GOULD. 5 March, 1969 [5 March, 1968], No. 10702/68. Heading A5B. Cosmetic preparations for the treatment of skin comprise vitamin A, vitamin B 1 (including compounds having vitamin A and vitamin B 1 activity) and a cosmetic carrier, the vitamins each forming at least 1wt% of the preparation calculated as vitamin A palmitate and thiamine hydrochloride respectively. The preparation may also include vitamin E (including compounds having vitamin E activity) and/or an anti-inflammatory steroid e.g. betamethasone or dexamethasone. The preparations may be in the form of ointments, lotions, creams or aerosol which may contain conventional excipients including dimethylsulphoxide.
