Abstract

1,238,905. Vibratory screening apparatus. F. K. MOGENSEN and L. C. MOGENSEN. 28 Aug., 1968 [30 Aug., 1967], No. 41174/68. Heading B2H. A classifier for classifying material passed through it in a freely dispersed state comprises a series of screens each having openings preferably at least 1.5 times as large as the particles supplied to it and arranged one above the other and in a sloping position wherein at least one of the screens is adjustably mounted with regard to its inclination relative to the horizontal. As shown the screens are mounted in a frame member 6 which is suspended by springs 8 and is connected to a vibrator 9 which vibrates the screens so that the particles are caused to advance down the inclined surfaces.
