Abstract

1,237,759. Resistors. MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO. Ltd. 19 Dec., 1968, No. 60508/68. Heading H1S. [Also in Division C7] Metal film resistors are made by electrolessly depositing on an insulating substrate such as a porcelain first layer of a metal such as Cu or Ni, electrolplating a second layer of a metal such as Cu, Ni or Zn and heating the coated substrate in a non-oxidizing atmosphere to alloy the layers. Several alternating layers of electroplated Cn and Ni may be deposited on the electroless layer or an outer layer of Zn may be electro-deposited. Alloying is effected at 400- 800‹ C. in a N 2 -H 2 atmosphere.
