Abstract

1,237,694. Air curtains. PROGRESS JETS Ltd. 19 Aug., 1969 [19 Aug., 1968], No. 39508/68. Heading F4V. Apparatus for producing an air curtain across an opening of a doorway, passage or tunnel to protect an interior space comprises ducts 3, 5 having elongated slots from which are projected converging streams of air 4, 6, the streams traversing the downstream margin 2 of the opening on the exterior side thereof. An air collector 9 may be provided. Both ducts 3 and 5 may be positioned on the interior side of the opening. A passage may be subdivided by spaced apparatuses as described above.
