1,237,489. Absorbent paper laminates. KLIPPANS FINPAPPERSBRUK A.B. 11 Nov., 1969 [19 Nov., 1968], No. 55089/69. Heading B5N. An absorbent wet-strength laminate comprises a layer of compressed multilaminar cellulose wadding adhesively bonded at one or both faces to a creped waterproof tissue layer. The adhesive may be a cold-setting acrylate dispersion, and may also be applied as a powder. The cellulose wadding layer may comprise one or more multilaminar layers and is compressed, as the tissue layer(s) are bonded to it, between rollers, one of which may be patterned.
