Abstract
1,237,304. Hyaluronidase. AMANO SEIYAKU K.K. 22 Sept., 1969 [21 Sept., 1968], No. 46670/69. Heading C3H. A hyaluronidase obtainable by cultivating Streptomyces hyalurolyticus nov. sp. I.A.M. 18012 has specificity towards the depolymerization of hyaluronic acid, retention of activity at temperatures from 70‹ to 80‹ C., optimum pH of 5À0, optimum temperature of 60‹ C., and stability at pH values 4 to 11. The cultivation may be aerobic; the enzyme may be precipitated from the culture filtrate by methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, acetone, ammonium sulphate or magnesium sulphate.
