Abstract

1,237,280. Ventilators. J. VAN LEUZEN. 23 Sept., 1968, No. 45060/68. Heading F4V. A window frame member 1 has an extension 3 provided with ventilation apertures 4, a closing element 5 being provided to permit or stop ventilation. Condensation will collect on the element 5 and can be discharged into a gutter 7 where it will flow away via the apertures 4. The element 5 has a counterbalancing handle 9 and may be arranged to pivot due to the weight of the condensation so that the latter is automatically discharged into the gutter. The element 5 may be fixed in an intermediate position, and may be detachable from its pivot. An alternative construction is shown in Fig. 2.
