[Also in Division F2] The reciprocating drive for the carriage of a flat machine is derived from a member 10 to which it is coupled and which is reciprocated by a pair of chains 6, 7 coupled to the member 10 and to a slide block 4 which itself receives its reciprocating motion from a connecting rod 3 attached to an eccentrically mounted crank pin 2 on a flywheel 1 driven by an electric motor.
