Abstract
1,234,331. Utilizing energy of radiations. UNION CARBIDE CORP. 17 March, 1969 [12 April, 1968], No. 13761/69. Heading G6P. In an arrangement for generating or producing a radio-active fluid, the required daughter radio-active substance is eluted from a parent element. The radio-active parent element, 14, is disposed between filters 15, 16 and the eluting fluid is passed therethrough from the section 10 into the port 13 in section 12. Glass, metal, ceramics or plastics may be employed for the parts 10, 12 and the parent-daughter radio-active substance may be 113Sn/113In; 137Cs/137mBa; 144Ce/144Pr; 90Sr/90Y; 68Ge/68Ga; 140La/ 140Ba.
