Abstract
1,233,397. Laminates. DECORIT-INDUSTRIE-BERATUNG G.m.b.H. 22 April, 1968 [28 Nov., 1967], No. 46625/70. Divided out of 1,233,396. Heading B5N. [Also in Divisions B2 and D2] A chipboard or blockboard has a surface finish in the form of a synthetic resin sheet which is produced by impregnating a non-woven fibre fabric or web, e.g. paper, with a resin having self-cross-linking groups, e.g. self-cross-linking polyacrylic acid ester, epoxy resin, polyester or acrylonitrile-butadiene styrene copolymer and subjecting the impregnated sheet to heat and pressure, said sheet having a resin content of 50-200% by weight with reference to the fibrous material (see Division D2). The resulting sheet is either pressed on to the surface of the chipboard or blockborad under pressure and at an elevated temperature or glued to the surface of the chipboard or blockboard. Several of the resin sheets may be fused together in a calender.
