1,232,982. Cooker hoods. N. J. DEMILLE. 4 July, 1968 [8 July, 1967], No. 31560/67. Headings F4V and F4W. A fume filtration unit for use with a radiant heating cooker comprises a vertical portion 10 and a horizontal portion 11, the portion 10 containing a grease removing filter 20 which may be of polyamide fibre or steel wool and an odour removing filter 22 of activated charcoal. Fumes from the cooker 12 are drawn by a fan 28 through an opening 18 in the cooker and pass first through filter 20 and then through filter 22 and from an opening 23 to discharge openings 33. In a modification, the filter 22 comprises two separate blocks and the fumes pass vertically through both blocks.
