Abstract
1,231,467. Raising liquids. E.W. MULCAHY. April 28, 1969 [May 14, 1968], No. 22768/68. Heading F1R. A tank 10 for storing and supplying hot acid solutions is provided in one compartment 12 with at least one pipe 30 having an outlet 32 extending over a second compartment 13 including heating coils 20. An air tube 31 extends downwardly within the pipe 30 to supply air to entrain acid for flow up the pipe to the outlet 32. A treatment tank, Figs.3 and 4 (not shown), has an outlet connected to the inlet pipe 16 and an inlet connected to the outlet pipe 17. The coils 20 and pipes (40), Figs. 3 and 4, in the treatment tank have steam passed therethrough. Valves are provided for controlling air and steam flow.
